We are going to be taste testing the Act II Hot & Spicy Microwave Popcorn. This is our honest review of this new flavored snack.

I love spicy foods, so this looks like it could be a cool taste test. Let's see if this can bring the heat, or if it's all just an act, lol...

Taste Testing The Act II Hot & Spicy Popcorn

Making The Popcorn:

The instructions state to unwrap and discard the plastic packaging from the microwaveable bag.

Place the bag in the microwave (the bag reads "This Side Down").

Run the microwave on high for about 1 1/2 - 2 minutes. (Don't use the popcorn feature on your microwave.)

Listen for the popping to slow down then remove. It will be hot, so handle cautiously.

Open the bag up away from your face to avoid the steam from engulfing you. I actually made this mistake, and coughed a little because of the spices.

Tasting The Popcorn

As soon as I opened the bag I poured about half the bag into a bowl.

Just from the red coloring of the popcorn, it sure looked like it was about to be a fiery inferno cracking off in my mouth.

I cautiously tried a couple pieces with the mental expectation that my mouth would feel an immediate burn. But no, not at all. I barely tasted any heat. If any, it was so subtle.

I began eating more and more. Some of them had a little more kick of heat than the others.

I shared some with my companions, and they all felt the same type of way about this hot and spicy flavored popcorn.

It kind of reminded me of flamin' hot cheetos, but not as fiery.

It was actually a nice and subtle heat. Not so overwhelming that I couldn't actually enjoy my snack. It was just right!

Just like with most new flavors that get rolled out for an established product, they usually release new flavors to see how well they are received by consumers.

If they do well, they usually keep them in production. If sales are trash, then they discontinue the junk.

So, we'll just have to wait and see if this is possibly only available for a limited time. Get yours while supplies last...
